I wanted to do a portrait shoot using a low key lighting set up. Jess was a perfect model. I chose to do a natural makeup look first with the emphasis on contouring and highlighting Jess’s bone structure. In natural light the makeup was very shiny, but with this type of light it looked less severe. I chose golden colours to enhance Jessica’s beautiful skin colour.
I used my Canon 600d with Ap F10 iso 100 and shutter speed on 1/200. I had one light on with a large diffuser and a reflector with a gold cover.
Makeup used: Kett airbrush, Nars radiant creamy concealer, Illamasqua brow gel in Strike, Sleek contour palette in medium, Ardell lashes in Whispies, Mac eyeshadows, Mac raisin blush, Mac lip pencil in spice and Mac lipstick in Bare again.
Head piece from New look.
