Natural light 50mm 1.4 shoot- Behind the scenes

I had planned this shoot for weeks. I wanted to do a grand look with full gowns to begin with, but I ended up with a simple pretty shoot, which is actually exactly what I wanted! I love the blossom that is out at the moment. It tells us that spring has arrived. I wanted to incorporate it into the shoot. I went around Falmouth looking for blossom trees, but they are mainly high up, but I managed to find a couple of low trees, but not in very glamourous locations- one outside Sainsbury’s and one outside an industrial estate!

The last location was at Penmorvah manor, which has a lovely swing outside under a magnolia tree. We also changed the hair and outfits in the hotel. I didn’t shoot in the hotel, as it wanted to feel like a spring/summer outdoor shoot.I used my Canon 5D mark iii with my 50mm lens 1.4. I kept it to 1.4 on most of the photo’s, as I wanted a very dreamy look. Its tricky to get the sharpness on the face, but it did work well.

I kept the makeup very soft with pinks and purples.. The skin was dewy and soft lips.

Kylee did a great job on the models hair doing two looks on them on them throughout the shoot.

Kendall and Chloe are great models. They worked together perfectly  as well as on their own.
