There is nothing that helps your career in the makeup artistry industry more than going to trade shows, meeting other artists, sharing techniques and learning about the hottest new innovations in the industry. Luckily, 2015 is a big year for the industry and there are some fantastic makeup shows, expositions and trade fairs throughout the year (all around the globe!) Most will sell out, so it is a good idea to plan ahead of time if you are planning on traveling! Now, without further ado, here we are, the top beauty industry events of 2015:

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna

The Cosmoprof Worldwide beauty industry show is back in Bologna, Italy for its 48th season. this year, it ran last March. So do not lose the opportunity and get ready for 2016 edition. Always on March. It is without a doubt the leading event in the world of professional beauty on a global scale. International artists, brands and suppliers all flock to Italy to share their latest innovations in the beauty and wellness industry. Last year, the event covered over 90,000 square meters of exhibition space. While it is literally a huge event, there are different sections for the various concentrations within the industry. This includes sections for perfumes, spa, packaging, hair, nails, natural health, cosmetics, perfumes and contract manufacturing.

International Makeup Artists Trade Show (or IMATS)

Since 2002 the International Makeup Artists Trade Show is a fundamental event for developing artists in the makeup industry. This year the event is being held from July 10th to 12th in London. Once again, the fabulous Olympia National will be the venue. You can check at Olympia website for this and upcoming events. Going to this show will help you develop tools to advance your career in the makeup artistry industry. From different classes and lectures in film, editorial, red carpet, theater, fashion, and TV makeup, you are sure to find something that interests (and will advance) your career! United Makeup Artists Expo

This is another fantastic trade show being held in London this year. It begins on Saturday, April 11th and runs until Sunday, April 12th. In its third year, the UMA Expo will be held in Islington at the Design Centre. There will be famous industry leading makeup artists from all around the globe present. If you currently planning to visti United Expo, an easy and affordable way to get there is by train. You can check train times on a site like virail.co.uk for example. They will be giving live demonstrations, showcasing their newest products, and holding general education courses. The tickets to this expo have sold out very quickly the past two years, so you definitely want to book ahead of time. The prices for professionals and students are 40 pounds for one day and just ten pounds more, fifty pounds, for both days. For members of the general audience, a ticket to one day of the expo costs 50 pounds and the whole weekend will cost you just 60 pounds. This is an event not to miss because the hottest brands, producers, and artists are sure to be in attendance. So much to learn, so much to share, and so much to admire!
